Considering the whole point of the battle was to save the sister in the first place, and that the brother was in terrible anguish about his sister being taken hostage, suddenly disregarding anything she says and her clearly trying to communicate something gravely important comes off as 🅢🅗🅘🅣 writing. The sister herself is yelling for the brother to stop multiple times, the characters COMPLETELY ignore that.
